Summary
If I'm going to tell the story of a life, my life, then I need to tell it warts and all. If the tale is too saccharine sweet then what can the reader take away from it? What do they learn about you? I've written everything down. The shit, the death, fun, naughtiness, addiction, laughter, laughter, laughter, some tears and lots of love and happiness. That ,to me, is a better reflection of a human's life.
Nick's family life was difficult, blighted by alcoholism, illness and sudden misfortune, meaning they lost everything overnight. He left school early and drifted from job to job, dogged by his own personal demons. It's something of a miracle that Nick survived and even more that he would achieve such success with his writing, acting and comedy.
In Truths, Half Truths and Little White Lies, Nick paints a brilliantly funny, moving and brutally candid portrait of childhood, adolescence and eventual success.

An insight into a naturally funny man
When you watch Nick Frost on TV or in a film, its easy to think his easy-go-lucky persona is just that, and his life has always been full of laughter and cheer.
This audiobook (narrated by himself) proves that behind most clowns is a sadness. He doesn't play up to this though, and you get the feeling that him writing this was as much therapy as it is entertaining to us.
Nick Frost is a good man, a man who was caught on the culture of the 90's after suffering immense heartache and crippling insecurities that left him with only really one goal most working class men face - survive. Live each day as it comes and keep hoping something better will come along.
It did - and we are all grateful for that.

Funny and touching
Being a fan of Spaced and Shaun of the dead, a clubber and having suffered similar personal loss, I really connected with Nicks experiences and humour. I was waiting for the dull non-funny stuff in the middle that other reviews mentioned, but never noticed it. Walking to work listening to this, laughing like a drain, I must have looked like a complete nutter. Totally worth it though.

Enlightening, Entertaining and Moving
Very entertaining and interesting look at Nick's life, very much bolstered by narration from the man himself.
In turns surprising, funny, a little shocking and very moving, if you enjoy Nick's work or not, it's a book worth experiencing.
Peters out ever so slightly towards the end, where it fades out to bridge to a follow up volume.
Well worth the cost and effort!

Made it to the end
Not bad but not all that gripping. Maybe a bigger fan would find it better. I made it to the end and was never bored but also didn't 'putting it down' between listening sessions.

Entertaining but not the whole story
Nick Frost is a likeable chap who I have enjoyed watching in both TV and film roles, particularly Spaced and the Cornetto trilogy. He goes into detail on the events that have formed him, sometimes with touching honesty. However I feel an autobiography should cover a full life story (as up to date as possible) and Nick stops short of that, saving some time for a future book perhaps. So whilst an enjoyable listen I felt this slightly took the edge off the full experience, hence not quite getting five stars.

Unique Frost humour & gut-wrenchingly sad
Hilarious and also very sad. Frost's voice makes the book come alive. Would definitely recommend.

Cracking
I loved this book, very emotional and funny, it really lets you look into Nicks strengths and his weaknesses, he tells it well and you just love him. Thanks Nick.

Loved it.
Always kind of liked Frost and didn't know what to expect. Turned out i loved the book and the reasoning of it, to basically let his lad know (or anyone else in the future that cares about him) what he got up to and who he was in general whilst growing up. Brutal honesty and well written/narated. I always like it when someone in his position doesn't take himself to serious in the public eye and doesn't turn into an pretentious prick. Down to earth, funny, and lots of stuff in there to relate to as a working class member of society. HOPE THIS ISN'T THE LAST, PLEASE WRITE MORE.

Refreshingly honest...
And a really interesting story, revealing more than Some Celebrities, certainly more than Simon Pegg!!
Well done Nick!!

So good I listened twice
What a fantastically unexpected and rich life Nick Frost has lived. I wasn't even aware of what a kibbutz was until this audio book. Enjoyed this more that Simon Peggs autobiography but that's just personal taste. I have just finished listening to this for the second time and would listen to it again. When's the next addition due Nick?
