On top of the world ...in a house of cards
The tabloids tracked his every move. The business magazines predicted his demise. And the public couldn't get enough. But the only people privy to Donald Trump's real story were the members of his inner circle - men such as Jack O'Donnell, a top executive at Atlantic City's Trump Plaza Casino until April, 1990. For three years O'Donnell witnessed the goings-on in the House of Trump that the people only guessed at. Now he reveals what he saw.
Here's the inside story of Trump's legendary tirades, his convenient forgetfulness, and the infamous Donald Trump ego. O'Donnell tells how the Plaza staff catered to Trump's personal whims, and to those of his mistress - and how the man who built the largest gambling hall in the world knew little about running a casino.
From the hypocrisy, bad deals, and the monumental debt to the untold tales of Marla and Ivana, Trumped! rips the mask off the mighty Trump facade - revealing a man whose castle is about to collapse.

Great story, easy to listen to, entertaining, and an insight in the next of President of the USA.
For all those interested in the future president of the USA.
The story gives a deep insight about Donald, showing his many flaws, and difficult mannerism. If he runs the USA like he does his casino, then America is going to be bankrupt even worst than the time of George Bush!
No - first one - but very good
Trump playing with his children, giving a small human glimpse into him.
This book is written by a former employee of Trump - working directly with him at the executive level in the 1980s-90s for 3 years. In it you get: 1. The truth about some of stories in Donald's own book "Art of the Deal" 2. How Donald got involved in gambling and the story behind the Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Castle, Trump Plaza and what led to its failure 3. An insight to Donald's personality 4. His relationship with his wife Ivanka and Marla Maples/other women 5. Death of Trumps 3 top executive in a helicopter accident and the human element behind it.
Let me say, I dislike Trump, however I feel that some elements of the book were not fair to Donald, in that in did not emphasise the positive of Donald Trump - the fact he ran multiple properties, the fact he had a big vision, how he gets the best people to work for him, his mastery of publicity. The writer is a disgruntled former employee of Donald Trump who writes very little of his own shortcomings. He glosses over the fact that he felt anger of being overlooked for a promotion, that he found it difficult to fire people, that in his final year the Trump Plaza managed by him was running a loss, that he allowed a billionaire to gamble at the Casino - that person won 6 million from the Plaza (later regained after he left).
Having said that, and having read multiple biographies of Trump - there is a common pattern - Donald is a sociopath - he has no empathy for people. He is cruel beyond belief. He is good at public relations. He is intelligent -eg. if someone asks for a raise, he will try to blame that person for something else in order to reduce/not pay that person. He is unappreciative of the people who work for him.
I would ask all Americans and others read this book to see some element of this President who is going to run the free world.
Trump is a nightmare with wings!
"Interesting Listen About the REAL Trump"
I thought this was a very insightful and interesting listen. Trump only just came out as the presumptive nominee and I knew that I had to listen and review this book when I got the chance. I'm still in awe that people could actually want this man to be the leader of a nation...
This book goes behind the scenes and gives another prospective to who Donald Trump REALLY is. That is, when he doesn't have teams of spokesmen, publicists, and campaign lackeys running behind him and justifying/clarifying/correcting everything he says.
Anyone interested in politics should definitely give this one a go.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.
This is a winner!Kevin Pierce delivers a great narration of a book by someone that has actually worked with our Presidential candidate.Mr Trump was always the egotistical, bigotted con man he is today. It seems he always wanted corners cut and things swept under the table.A must read for an dumkoff thinking of voting for him!
I was gifted this book for an honest review
"Intriguing and revealing story."
Yes, because it sheds interesting light on a major public figure.
The narration was very good, and kept the pace rolling along, particularly through technical descriptions of the gambling business.

"Donald Trump is a good businessman". That's one of the core elements of his brand, and if you've been paying attention to U.S. politics at all recently, it's one you'll have heard ad nausium. If even half of what this book alleges is true, it's also a fabrication. Taking some of what's written with a grain of salt--after all, the source is a man who admits to a major falling-out with Trump--Trumped gives some fascinating potential insight into a man who has branded himself as very rich, very successful, a man who can fix anything from companies to countries with his deal-making. I'd highly recommend reading this one if you want to learn more about a major public figure who looks likely to leave his mark on the U.S. political arena. Along the way, you'll also pick up some fascinating tidbits about the gambling industry, boxing promotion and the world of entertainment more generally.
"What It's Like to Work for Donald Trump"
This review was written at a time when Donald Trump was very close to winning the 2016 Republican Party presidential nomination (it is still uncertain...)
Personally, I don't have much difficulty looking past most of the hype on both sides of the isle when it comes to Mr. Trump. However, this audiobook offers a VERY interesting "take" on what it was like to work for Donald Trump, and to be a part of his "inner circle"-at least, from a business perspective.
Wow! What a fascinating person! Like most of us, Donald Trump is clearly a flawed individual-and in ways that I never imagined. Curious to know more about this man? Then I suggest that you go ahead and purchase this audiobook!
I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.
I haven't read the ebook.
The focus of course is on Trump. I'm far from being a fan or supporter, but it gave an insider's perspective without seeming to diss or praise too much.
It was a credible performance. So, I don't have a single favorite
Just at how fair this writer seemed to be. O'Donnell worked for Trump for three and a half years. This booked was first published back in 1991 or so. And still has relevance as to what makes Trump tick. Good and Bad.
Again, I'm not a fan, but I enjoyed this insider look into the man.
Thanks for making this available to listen to

"A brilliantly written expose into Donald Trump"
John O'Donall gives us an invaluable, important glimpse into the man who will be President!
"Brought Back Memories"
The truth of the story.
Learning a truth about Donald Trump.
Yes, the end in which he quit.
I worked for a crazy man who was ill tempered and lacked both character and integrity, just like DJT. His cruelty hurt hundreds of faithful people. Never again.
I read the book to learn how it may be to have Trump as a president. I was scared before. Now I'm terrified.
"A closer look a disturbing individual"
Very informative and the reader is to listen to. I definitely recommend this book to any interested in gather information about what makes Trump tick.
"Most interesting background on the Pied Piper"
While I did enjoy the book, that is not the first adjective that comes to mind when thinking back on it. More than anything, it's just a sense of nodding my head in understanding "The Donald". After carefully watching this man on the presidential campaign trail over these past eight months, this book just does a nice job of filling is some of his background. It is fascinating to see how some of the same, seemingly knuckle-headed, antics are used by him now some 25 years after the accounts in this book.
Several moments are played out very well and vividly. Trump's overall handling of stressful situations are especially interesting, in light of the present political scene.
Trump dealing with the ceiling that was "too low" was somewhat fun and certainly easy to imagine.
Just Donald being Donald.
I really appreciate the insight provided in this book. Obviously, the author did not stray too far from the truth or Donald, being who he is, would have loved to sue Jack for every thing that he has.
So in 2016 we have Donald vs. Hillary. Lord, I am sorry for the choices that our country has made.
