"Mishka's writing is clever, vivid and honest. As the reader, you are transported into his world. You get to experience his tumultuous journey from substance abuser to marathon runner, his misadventures in reality television, his pursuit by an online stalker and much more. Mishka's life collects stories, and luckily for us, he's very good at telling them. It is an honor to invite you to enjoy Mishka Shubaly's collection. In the end, we as readers are uplifted by the force and transcendent talent of writers like Mishka. As we live their lives, we learn about our own." (Jeff Bezos)

"I like almost everything I read, and I did not like this"
This wasn't a collection of stories, it was basically just one story told slightly differently many times. At least that is what it felt like by the end. I didn't count how many times the word 'banal' was used, I only know it was painfully overused. Please buy a thesaurus if you're going to continue writing.
"Terrible language. Pathetic"
It would be nice to actually get something from this writer without the vulgar language and every paragraph to try to make a point. He's a good enough writer, to leave out that and still get his point across. That is too bad
I'm so thrilled I took a chance on this book! Mr. Sbubaly is a fantastic writer and even better narrator. These stories took me on an emotional rollercoaster and actually made me cheer out loud with tears in my eyes, twice! I cannot wait to read/listen to more of Mishka Shubaly!
Mishka's literary voice and self-deprecation help him weed through some of the finer points in his troubled youth. This is all accented by his scruffy vocal commentary. Each story is a great read/listen on its own, while the collection paints a broad picture of Mishka's growth. His newest book "I swear I'll make it up to you" is another wonderfully told addition for any fan of his work. Enjoy!
