Very Thorough and Inspirational Story
When I first started listening to this I got so far and then struggled . So there was a year gap between between me starting and finishing . I now put down the struggle down to my state of mind and not the book itself . I always knew Steve was an innovator but hadn't appreciated just how much he was responsible for in the last 20 years . He was a pig at times but his relentless focus and vision is phenomenal and inspirational. I wish more companies took their lead from him and perhaps the world would be a better more creative place for people to thrive fully .

Brilliantly honest
It pictures Steve as a genius but at the same time subtle and spoilt baby, great narrating, 25hrs of my life well spent🙌

Worth reading
It’s a long book but it’s a great story and worth reading for sure if you like hearing about companies going from 0 to 1. Struggles are relevant even today and it shows that no matter the competition if you stick in your own lane and trust your instincts you can produce something great!

A inspiring and, ultimately, tragic tale!
You always hear about Steve Jobs being a jerk, an asshole, and a visionary…
But Isaacson shows us that there is a lot more complexity to Jobs than that. An paradox of fragility and conviction, Jobs is on the one hand callous and ruthless whilst being on the other sentimental and whimsical.
Above all, what shines through is that Jobs was very much a missionary. Steve loved creating beautiful products. Steve also loved to bend reality to his will and his apparent successes at doing so are tragically likely cemented his untimely passing.
One cannot help but wonder what Jobs could have achieved at his first stint at Apple it only he had been the CEO and had full control of the products as he did on his return, or what device I might be using to write this review had he overcome his health woes.
Overall, this book is a fitting tribute to the flawed but incredibly gifted Jobs, and I was very touched by his final words in the final chapter.
