Phil Collins' long awaited memoir doesn't hold back, featuring accounts of his music career and personal relationships. From his first tentative steps as a child actor to his remarkable career as a musician and his struggles with addiction and alcoholism, this is an intimate and engaging narrative about the man behind the music.
Phil Collins gained fame as both the drummer and the lead singer for Genesis and continues to enjoy worldwide success today. He's one of only three recording artists who have sold over 100 million albums both as solo artists and separately as principal members of bands - the other two being Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson.
Revered as a drummer, he's the only performer of distinction to have appeared at both the UK and US original Live Aid concerts, the creator of numerous worldwide hits, and an Oscar winner for the song 'You'll Be in My Heart' from the Disney film Tarzan.
Phil Collins' life has also been rich with experience outside of music, starting with his career as a child actor, appearing aged 13 as the Artful Dodger in the stage production of Oliver!, through Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Miami Vice and The Band Played On. In his memoir Phil talks honestly about his three failed marriages, his alcoholism and his ill health but also describes the highs and lows of his career and what it is like to work with other rock legends, from Eric Clapton to Robert Plant.
Published to coincide with the release of a singles collection, Not Dead Yet will thrill fans and change minds.

Loved this audible book by Phil Collins easy to listen to as he narrated it , believable you feel your right there on the amazing life journey he tells about his career and personal life , funny , touching , exciting , humbling, just a normal bloke really , long awaited but well worth the wait .
Biographies like these are an important read. They help you understand what goes on behind the scenes of life. They help you understand that everyone struggles with "stuff" and understanding this inspires you. I used to think Phil Collins was a pretty good singer for a drummer. He is also a pretty good author for a singer. Well done Philip. Well done.
I guess it goes with the territory but Mr C tells of a life lived the way he wanted it and could afford easily. Quite a lot of wreckage but his professions of guilt are hardly ever followed up by changed ways. Well read. If you're a fan you will love it. If not, then a few 'tuts' might be heard.
A must for Genesis and Phil Collins admirers everywhere.
Phil has let the music take over his personal life and ruin what he loves the most, his family life. He did this himself by following the dream and selfishly doing what he liked, when he liked without putting his responsibilities ahead of his commitments. This is easy to spot from the outside looking in.
Watching his current interviews and knowing the music business as I do, it's also easy to see that Phil is still drinking. His 2016 comeback is too early and he should think twice before jumping on the bandwagon again. This brilliant story about a very shallow but extremely talented person that has just skipped life's responsibilities and played the fame card when things got tough, touring endlessly and keeping himself out of the way. It's never too late to be a father, and this alone should be enough so forget the comeback and look after the ones that love you, as you won't get a better opportunity to put things right.
I was never a huge fan but I certainly am now. not just of the music but this incredibly gifted and hard working man. The stories in this book run parallel with memories I have of the 70's 80's 90's - lots of funny and fascinating anticdotes. well done Phil!
Great book. Funny, sad, heartbreaking in places. And ultimately, a wonderful account of his life.
This book is a tremendous insight to the highs of fame in 80's and 90's and the true cost of the lows. I most certainly highly recommend.
Married with 2 children & 2 grandchildren, I`m a keen Golfer, BirdWatcher I love watching football, I support Notts County for my sins .!
Throughly honest and vivid account . I love it when it is , literally, straight from the horses mouth.
Each decade has great moments. Too many to pick one.
WORK rest AND PLAY .
Phil Collins , a hero of mine. Still is. I think if it had been read by anyone else , I would question certain things, but as he reads his own book, ( of course) it feels from the heart .
Yes I am a big Phil Collins fan, I have been for almost 30 years. This is a wonderful listen. Phil telling his story in his own words. It will make you laugh and cry.
No holes barred autobiography of my life long hero... Phil is very straight and tells wonderful story from early days as a jobbing drummer to megastar and all the good and bad events along the way. Definitely worth a listen or read!
"A must for fans, a captivating book for everyone"
Never boring, sometimes astonishing and sometimes sad. This book shares a look into the life of Phil Collins. And it's not just for fans either. Mr Collins story gives the listener an understanding why he did what he did, both in his personal and his professional life.
A big plus is the fact that Phil Collins is narrating it himself!
