Publisher's Summary

Available as an audiobook for the first time, read by band members "Fat Mike" Burkett, Eric Melvin, Erik "Smelly" Sandin, and Aaron "El Hefe" Abeyta along with special guest narrator musician and comedian Tommy Chong. In addition, the audiobook features exclusive, previously unreleased tracks, "Bouncy" (a NOFX instrumental), "La Pieta" (Fat Mike piano & vocal song about his mother), and "Young Drunk & Stupid" (live NOFX song from an Idaho basement gig in 1986)

NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories is the first tell-all autobiography from one of the world's most influential and controversial punk bands. Fans and non-fans alike will be shocked by the stories of murder, suicide, addiction, counterfeiting, riots, bondage, terminal illness, the Yakuza, and drinking pee. Told from the perspective of each of the band's members, this audiobook looks back at more than 30 years of comedy, tragedy, and completely inexplicable success.

    "Incredible"

Having been a huge fan of NOFX for many years, I was extremely excited to hear they were releasing an autobiographical style book.
It does not disappoint. it's so BRUTALLY honest and real, an unflinching account to all the ups and downs of this group of misfits. Listened to it in its entirety in 2 days and I am going for round 2!
Will shock you, move you and make you laugh. Highly recommended wether you're a fan or not!

Incredible stories, brilliantly told. Funny, moving and sickening in turns but non-stop entertaining.

"You want the truth, you can't handle the truth..."

Very Funny, dark, gripping, sad, extreme but brutally and relentlessly honest.

Challenging people's perceptions? That's so punk.

    A great listen

    "Fascinating Story - Brilliantly narated"
Would you consider the audio edition of NOFX to be better than the print version?

Infinitely - having it read by the guys involved with each member reading their own chapters makes it all the more engaging.

What other book might you compare NOFX to, and why?

The narration style is very similar to the Doug Stanhope Book digging up mother In that the people actually involved in the stories are telling them.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

There's many hilarious moments, too many to name.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The chapter after you first here the story of the scumbag friend and what happened to one of the band members girlfriends at his hands. Getting the two versions of the stories, two people's truths with only one of them being the truth, the way the book does this is brilliant.

    Any additional comments?

Highly recommended for anyone interested in music and road stories, being fans of the band or even punk music is not necessary.

"Liked it up to family death and butt plugs."

Lost me at butt plugs. Like I can hang for a bit, but it felt like the last 10% of the book was less about NOFX, and more about Mike's sexual lifestyle. Great book up until that point.

It's like Eric Melvin touched my souls, Smelly Almost brought me to tears, El Jefe made think about my own Mexican family growing up and fat Mike mad me laugh and think about my own vices. Jello and Tommy were great and sincere in there readings. I Fucking love this book and it makes me appreciate NOFX even more. Thank you for both guys, you all did great reading your parts!!

    "Loved these stories"

Since the band (and a couple of friends) read the their own book, it was really engaging when they would tell the stories of the small happenings a events, that lead to NOFX as we know them. Being a fan of the band, this was a treat for me. But, if anything, the tales are fun, scary and put things into perspective with early punk culture. The guys putting out this book had to take courage and some long lost emotional stress. Several parts of this book I feel will stick with me for some time. Just because a few topics hit pretty close to home. A great book for anyone. ...maybe anyone.

Deep, sad, funny, inspirational, scary, educational, insightful, disgusting, and one of the most addictive books I've listened to yet. If you are a fan of NOFX it is deeply satisfying to hear where they came from and what they've been through. Extremely well written and well spoken. Thanks for sharing guys! Love you! Glad you are all still alive and doing well.

""Mom you need to listen to this book!""

My 21 year old son had mentioned that I should read this book for a few weeks and on a road trip from Seattle to Eugene, OR. I obliged him by downloading the audio book.

As a 40 something aging punk turned Marriage & Family therapists it kills me to have always struggled with connecting with my son. I was mom so there for I could not possibly understand...

Thank you NOFX for your honesty and unflinching look into your lives. I don't know your end game in writing this book but I do know somehow someway listening to you in the car that day somehow broke down some walls and enabled my son and I to bridge the parent /child dynamic, in which I couldn't possibly understand anything, to a place of human to human holding space for one another.

    Thank you,
    Owen's mom
