Strangely Fascinating
As a somewhat Pink Floyd fan, I've always found the story behind the band to be strangely fascinating, and Nick's account goes right from the early days of the band finding it's feet, and finding it's sound, right up to the most recent events. While much of this material has already been documented previously, it's great to have the stories personally recounted from the inside as it were, with some quite honest and humble moments.
The downside - well, it's abridged of course, but it's been done well and doesn't feel like anything important to the overall story was left out. Recommended.

A little disappointed
All in all a great listen but a little disappointed that this was an abridged version so left wondering how much was missed out.

Fun, interesting but a bit flat
I’m a drummer and casual Pink Floyd fan. The book is interesting and as much as I like Nick Mason, it sounds for the most part like he’s reading a book rather than what I was hoping which was a charismatic retelling of events. That’s not to say it isn’t enjoyable, it is, and I could have easily have listened to more but the narration is a bit flat and lifeless for the majority.

Enjoyable but lightweight
A good story and some nice flourishes but felt like a very superficial telling of the story. Was hoping for more.

Amazingly Dull
I am a big Floyd fan, in fact they are one of my favourite bands. So with their well documented history I was looking forward to some gritty "Inside" details - Ha! talk about sanitised, if you're going to bother writing a book AND recording it you may as well make it interesting -OK OK, for a big Floysd fan it was partly interesting to learn of how albums were put together etc, but there was soooo little info on people and what makes them tick.
As for Nick's delivery, sorry but it just compliments the story - dull

More hatchet job than abridged....🤬
That'll teach me for not paying attention. If I had, I'd have seen the legend 'abridged' and avoided. At 3 hours and 17 minutes, only major plot points left in and be careful to duck as that editing axe swings to cut countless swathes of material out... I actually missed Atom and Meddle, so brief was their mention. Both my favourites so I felt somewhat short changed. I've bought the book. Nick actually sounds bored to be fair so I'll imagine Rowley Birkin QC in my head as I read. 😬

Honest and to the point... no fluffing about
Perfectly narrated by the author. A first hand chronological account of the story of what is the best band in the world.
As always, the memories of Syd are intriguing and some of the myths around him are busted in this excellent book...
Shine on...

An enjoyable recollection
This abridged version carries the story well, without too much left out. Told with a great dry sense of humour. The type of thing that puts you in a good mood as well as informs about some of those unknown Pink Floyd facts...
