"I know that not since the days of my childhood, when people in books were more real than the people one saw every day, have I found myself more moved" James Baldwin
A book of great sadness and great joy. Read with love by the author. I love Audio books as a busy woman I can enjoy a great book while shopping, driving or even while having a bath, there's nothing like it x
"I know why the caged bird sings"
What an amazing women. I love to hear how people grow through trauma & what happened to her at eight was so well articulated it moved me beyond comprehension. It also help me to put into perspective my own life lessons.
