Publisher's Summary

Here is the acclaimed BBC Radio 4 dramatisation of Anthony Trollope's classic story of provincial life. One of the most respected, successful chroniclers of 19th-century life, Anthony Trollope is still widely read and much-loved today, and The Barchester Chronicles - witty moral comedies with a wonderful range of characters - are among his most popular tales.

Framley Parsonage tells the story of a naïve, ambitious young clergyman whose unwise associations bring him to the brink of ruin.

    "The dramatised Barchester Chronicles"

Very very enjoyable. The actors and actresses are all top notch. All too often dramatisations are too short to allow the story to grow and give sufficient understanding of the content. Not so in this case. Great stuff.

    "Excellent listening"

This was my first experience of Anthony Trollope's works and has become my favourite. The dramatisation really makes this unputdownable. I highly recommend this version.
