"Sedaris' material (Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day) is never funnier than when he's reading it himself." (AudioFile)
"David Sedaris Live at Carnegie Hall is a rollicking comedic masterpiece....This recording will deservedly take its rightful place among the best comedy albums of our time." (AudiobooksTODAY.com)
"As uproarious as Sedaris is on the page, he's even funnier reading his wickedly jaundiced reflections. With brilliant deadpan timing, Sedaris is a charm." (Publishers Weekly)

The talent of the reader in his telling of his written stories. Laugh out loud.
David Sedaris tells stories mainly about his own life and experiences with his family.
Stories are all very funny. The question and answer section at the end is funny and interesting too.
Yes. I listened in all one sitting. It's not very long but couldnt put it off too funny.

lazy book lovers paradise - thank you Audible!
David Sedaris is just a wonder to discover.
Funny, intelligent and thought provoking.
This is not the the very best of Sedaris but officionados will still appreciate it.
"Laugh. Out. Loud. And then wipe the tears away... "
Yes, it's that good. Perhaps not to everyone's taste, but I have indeed acquired a taste for Mr Sedaris' readings. Got this title as a sample track when I first downloaded the Audible app some years ago on my first Android phone... Had me hook, line and sinker. Went on to purchase the entire audio book.
David is at his best when he is reading to a live audience, and the stories feel at their best when the audience truly truly gets him (in other titles you can sense the subtle beauty in his poignant humour fly right over some of the audience memebers' heads... But not this one). This reading at Carnegie Hall sounded like a pleasure for David to perform, and a pleasure for the audience themselves to be there... The best kind. And it translates well while listening in your living room/bed room/commute/gym, just as well.
