Publisher's Summary

Camilla Lackberg has been celebrated as Sweden's answer to Agatha Christie, which is a huge compliment for her since was the first book she ever read, at the age of seven. Camilla talks to BookD about Sweden's darker underbelly over the pristine preconceptions of her homeland. Sweden's more stirring, atmospheric, and creepy Scandinavian landscape gives a great setting for books where bad things can happen. With this in mind, Camilla also discusses the phenomenon that is Swedish Crime and why leaving her job and becoming a full-time author was something she had to pursue in order to keep her own sanity afloat during those dark, cold days and nights!

    "Awful interviewing technique"

The interviewer spent 3 minutes in the introduction - detailing the minutiae of Camilla Lackberg's life, then actually asked her a question, ........... and answered it herself before giving the author time to speak.

I really do think that some interviewers need to go on a course to find out about questioning techniques, open questions, closed questions etc - maybe then they wouldn't start an interview with - "What made you ..........? ..... was it because xxx? .... or was it yyy?".

This irritated me so much that I couldn't actually finish listening to the podcast - so I am no wiser about this author.

I am left thinking that this was all about the interviewer NOT the interviewee ...... you can tell from my rant how cross I feel!! Sorry!!
