Summary
Charles Street was once a highly respected agent working for MI6, until a terrible mistake cost him his job. Now he's a desperate man, living on past glories and struggling to make ends meet. Until he makes a discovery that has the power to bring down the new President of the United States. But when Street tries to cash in on this discovery, he finds himself pursued by a Russian snatch squad.
Strike Back hero John Porter and Regiment renegade John Bald are recruited by their handler to head to Washington, DC. Their mission: find Street before the Russians. What begins as a routine exfiltration quickly descends into a brutal struggle, and the ex-SAS legends will need to use all of their fighting instincts to stay alive. It seems someone is desperate to stop Street from going public with the dossier. Bald and Porter face a race against time to protect him.

Good Listen
Liked the book. It was a good listen, full of action and thrills. A bit over descriptive on the weapon front though.

Awful narrating
Poor effort of a storyline clearly not Ryan’s work. Why so much storyline on an ex SAS Scottish drunk. This is nonsense from start to finish and the story could have been better narrated by a goldfish!

Wow!
I read the negative reviews and almost didn’t go for this.
After finishing the book, all I can say is just ignore them.
This book is packed with adventure.
Lots of fascinating information.
Yes, there are common themes.
But If we compare this to the “Bad Boys” movie franchise, there are common themes and lines reused in the films. It’s just part of it.
This book is an absolute must have during lockdown if you are after some adventure.
And while I’m stuck indoors at home this book has been a welcomed distraction.
Well worth every penny!
And I look forward to the next one in the series, and also hope Porter manages to sort his life out a bit more in between missions.
Thank you Mr Ryan.
A fantastic book.

Absolute Rubbish
This is the third book i have had, the first two were ok with no too bad stories, this one wasn't fiction it was fantasy. it just bumbled on with drama after drama, 2 old men that hadn't slept for about a month or eaten for a week, hadn't washed but just carried on through drama after drama, I understand these are stories but there needs to be some believable parts in it. The story also repeats sections all the way through and states the absolute obvious. sorry this will be the last one.
