The heart-racing follow up to The Whole Truth from the international best-selling author.
Evan Waller is a monster. He has built a fortune from his willingness to buy and sell anything...and anyone. In search of new opportunities, Waller has just begun a new business venture: one that could lead to millions of deaths all over the globe.
On Waller's trail is Shaw, the mysterious operative from The Whole Truth, who must prevent Waller from closing his latest deal. Shaw's one chance to bring him down will come in the most unlikely of places: a serene, bucolic village in Provence.
But Waller's depravity and ruthlessness go deeper than Shaw knows. And now, there is someone else pursuing Waller in Provence - Reggie Campion, an agent for a secret vigilante group headquartered in a musty old English estate - and she has an agenda of her own. Hunting the same man and unaware of each other's mission, Shaw and Reggie will be caught in a deadly duel of nerve and wits.
Hitchcockian in its intimate build up of suspense and filled with the remarkable characters, breathtaking plot turns, and blockbuster finale that are David Baldacci's hallmarks, Deliver Us From Evil will be one of the most gripping thrillers of the year.

Not for the squeemish Baldacci at his most brutal this book will hold you right to the end
but watch out for the nightmares.
Literary cliches abound, annoying interlude music, ridiculous attempt by narrator at female characters, preposterous plot, unbelievable characters, I could go on.
This book proves that the best way to write a 'best seller' is to seek out the lowest common de-nominator and give em what they want. No thank you Mr B - I love Provence but I'd rather read 'A Year In' - and that's saying something
Did not realise this was an American Republican voice piece and went by reviews, horrific! Unless you are interested political violence for the "greater good" don’t waste your credits.
"Deliver Us From Evil"
THis is truly a load of rubbish. I have never read such rubbish in my life, I think a managed to listen for an hour and then hit delete.
"Very interesting and well read"
The history is very interesting and instructive in several ways: history, geography, nuclear history, russian and ukranian affairs.
I think it's one of the best Baldacci books
"Interesting and chilling"
Very good plot + France Provence + believable characters! Thrilling novel that's difficult to stop listening.
