Maeve Binchy: An Irish Legend

Born in 1940 in Dublin, Ireland, Maeve Binchy Snell (known to us as Maeve Binchy) became one the most recognised and respected contemporary Irish writers. Since penning her first novel, Light a Penny Candle, in 1982, Binchy went on to write a plethora of novels and short stories. Her books have been translated into 37 languages and have sold more than 40m copies worldwide.

Maeve Binchy passed away Monday July 30, 2012 after a short illness.
