Jeanette Garland, missing Castleford, July 1969. Susan Ridyard, missing Rochdale, March 1972. Claire Kemplay, missing Morley, since yesterday. It's winter, 1974, Yorkshire, Christmas bombs, Lord Lucan on the run, the Bay City Rollers, and Eddie Dunford's got the job he wanted - crime correspondent for the Yorkshire Evening Post. He didn't know it was going to be a season in hell. A dead little girl with a swan's wings stitched into her back. A gypsy camp in a ring of fire. Corruption everywhere you look.

It was a good, gripping story and very retro being set in the 70s. It brought back memories from my childhood and a good reminder of how different life was before mobile phones and pcs etc, etc!! What I couldn't cope with was the rhyming passages within the book. I really don't know whether they were intented by the author and you would naturally have rhymed along too if read in book form or the narrator put his slant on it?!! Because I did want to know what happened in the end, that stoppped me from erasing it from my mp3! It was an interesting conclusion.

An insanely fast-paced psychological thriller with a killer hook, from the international bestseller and master of terror, Sebastian Fitzek. The Clinic is a world leader in memory research, they say they can permanently erase your traumatic memories, leaving you free to start a new life. Marc Lucas killed his pregnant wife in a car crash. He carries the memory of her death with him everywhere - a splinter of glass stuck in his neck. His life is a nightmare from which he can't wake. Should he visit the clinic? Or has he been there already? The problem is, he can't remember....

As other have said, its gripping, with all the twists and turns. You certainly feel sympathy for the main character and feel his dilemmas, who can he trust? Who can he turn to? What is happening? Don't let the short torture scene put you off as the rest of the story is well worth listening to. The narrator is excellent and I would listen to him again!

Murder: a millionaire philanthropist is shot while he sleeps. His terrified wife made a narrow escape. Or did she? Mystery: a crime writer's violent fictions start to come chillingly true. Has he unwittingly inspired a murderer? Suspense: a young woman is trapped in a tunnel deep underground. Two men battle to rescue her. Are they heroes, or driven by some darker motive?

Fantastic! Each story kept me gripped through to the end, desperately trying to work out what was going to happen. But with a title of 'More Twisted', the stories certainly did become twisted and as they say "I never saw that coming!" If you enjoy suspense and who-dun-it then this will fit the bill!

Like others I bought this book thinking I'd give it a go!I ended up unable to put it down. Hours went by as the story unfurled, I was spellbound, even though it was such a basic tale of 'The good-guy falsely accused while the bad-guy gets away with it- or so it seems. Despite knowing that the situation will turn and all will be ok, you are hooked into having to listen to just one more chapter... Jeffery Archer does know how to weave a story!!
