When Ana Steele first encountered the driven, damaged entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both their lives irrevocably. Ana always knew that loving her Fifty Shades would not be easy, and being together poses challenges neither of them had anticipated. Now, finally together, they have love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of infinite possibilities. But just when it seems that they really do have it all, tragedy and fate combine to make Ana's worst nightmares come true....

Contrary to popular belief, I actually think that Becca Battoe's voice is correct for this trilogy. At first it seems too "innocent", however, that is the point. It feels right throughout the whole thing. I agree with another review that the sex was not that adventurous. In fact, I found that the sex was predictable and frankly boring in most parts of the trilogy. If I could have fast forwarded it, I would (I am no prude) as I felt it got in the way of the story.
E L James would not win the "Best Sex Writing" award. Too many repetitions, but then I wouldn't want to have to try to write about so many different sex scenarios.
It is a love story and it was addictive. It has taken me less than 3 weeks to read all three. Although it is no literary masterpiece, I would recommend it highly as an easy read. Hope you enjoy it.

Although world's apart, Skeeter, Aibileen and Minny's lives converge over a clandestine project that will change the town of Jackson forever.

Another book where I didn't want it to end. I really enjoyed and savoured every minute. I even WANTED to tidy the kids bedrooms so I could listen to it! The deep south accent is fab. The book is exceedingly funny . Enjoy!

In 2010, Val McDermid received the prestigious CWA Cartier Diamond Dagger Award, which honours outstanding achievement in the field of crime writing. Her last novel, Trick of the Dark, hit the best-seller lists, and now she returns with The Retribution. Tony Hill, criminal profiler and hero of TV's Wire in the Blood, is back in a terrifying psychological thriller. Teaming up once again with Carol Jordan, the pair face a serial killer unlike any they have ever encountered before.

The best yet....please churn another Tony Hill book soon, Val. I am hooked! Saul Reichlin is the best narrator...better than Vari Sylvester (sorry Vari)
