Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared from a family gathering. Her body was never found, yet her uncle is convinced it was murder - and that the killer is a member of his own family. He employs journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the tattooed, truculent computer hacker Lisbeth Salander to investigate. When the pair link Harriet's disappearance to a number of grotesque murders from forty years ago, they begin to unravel a dark and appalling family history.

Completed all 3 books by Stieg Larsson and enjoyed each and everyone.

For me the Audible version of the books were enhanced by the wonderful narrative by Saul Reichlin who has a voice that I could listen to all the time. I have now purchased other books narrated by him as his tone and intonation is fabulous.

This book was a complete departure for me. It was a recommendation by my daughter as I wanted to broaden my genre.

I loved this book and was hooked by all the characters, they all had a role and interlinked beautifully.

I enjoyed the 2 narrators interpreation of the varius characters.

Give this book a go you will not be dissapointed. But you must keep an open mind this is a totally different sty;e of book and I think i would be hard pressed to put it under any particular Genre

The Sanctuary of the Redeemers is a vast and desolate place - a place without joy or hope. Most of its occupants were taken there as boys and for years have endured the brutal regime of the Lord Redeemers whose cruelty and violence have one singular purpose - to serve in the name of the One True Faith. In one of the Sanctuary's vast and twisting maze of corridors stands a boy. He is perhaps fourteen or fifteen years old - he is not sure and neither is anyone else.

My name is Peter Grant and until January I was just probationary constable in that mighty army for justice known to all right-thinking people as the Metropolitan Police Service (as the Filth to everybody else). My only concerns in life were how to avoid a transfer to the Case Progression Unit - we do paperwork so real coppers don't have to - and finding a way to climb into the panties of the outrageously perky WPC Leslie May.

What can I say, I loved this book, never read anything by this author or listened to the narator before. Both were fabulous. There was not one single character that I did not like, I loved the way the story was told, this kept me guessing nearly all the way through. Although this was a long book, for me this was an added bonus and at no time did I feel as though words were written for words sake, every line and chapter in the book had meaning.

I will be looking at other books by this Author and as for the naration superb, Jonathan Keeble got every character exact and I could have listened to this for another 17 hours

Will read the next one when audible get it as I am sure this was a one off "bad" for me
