We are all storytellers - through stories, we make sense of our lives. But it is not enough to tell tales. There must be someone to listen. In his work as a psychoanalyst, Stephen Grosz has spent the last 25 years uncovering the hidden feelings behind our most baffling behaviour. The Examined Life distils over 50,000 hours of conversation into pure psychological insight, without the jargon. This extraordinary book is about one ordinary process: talking, listening, and understanding.

Really enjoyed this, very different from what I'd normally listen to. There is about 30 stories in here, allowing you to listen in to peoples lives for a while, very engaging. I also loved the narration, it was almost hypnotic which really suited the audiobook.

Emily's dad is accused of killing a teenage girl in the woods. Emily is sure he's innocent, but struggles to work out what actually happened that night. That is, until she crosses paths with Damon, the boyfriend of the dead girl. Maybe they could help each other? But Damon has his own secrets about the dangerous games that are being played in the dark. Kyle Winfield and Nathalie Emmanuel read this taut psychological thriller from Lucy Christopher, the award-winning author of the bestselling Stolen and Flyaway.

The Killing Woods is a contemporary whodunit with more than one twist in the story. The narration is so atmospheric and descriptive - it moves at a really good pace and the emotions of both characters come across well. Hearing alternately from Emily and Damon is really effective at building the suspense and tension – the 2 readers work and complement each other perfectly. I am older than the ‘YA’ market this book is aimed at – but thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend to others.

The Kill List: a top-secret catalogue of names held at the highest level of the US government. On it, those men and women who would threaten the world's security. And at the top of it, The Preacher, a radical Islamic cleric whose sermons inspire his followers to kill high-profile Western targets in the name of God. As the bodies begin to pile up in America, Great Britain and across Europe, the message goes out: discover this man's identity, locate him and take him out.

Forsyth brings us a fast paced and well researched thriller that feels extremely pertinent due to recent events. I got through this in just two sittings, it worked really well as an audiobook and felt very visual, I’ve no doubt will be a on the big screen soon. Great narration too.

Definitely one of the best things I've listened to this year, its part historical, part thriller, part biography...... Its the entwining of the lives of two extraordinary people (extraordinary for very different reasons) that make this book so mesmerising. It really gives a sense of scale to the evil that is within living memory.

    Incredible audiobook!

I was SO happy to see Audible have this now, I first heard it on the Radio and loved it, it's my favourite Neil Gaiman story, Dirk Maggs and the cast (including Christopher Lee, Cumberbatch and Natalie Dormer) bring it to life in an exceptional way. The soundscapes and effects add so much value, this is the BBC at it's best. Brilliant.

I didn't immediately like the narration, but came round to it pretty quickly, was listening to this on my commute to work, and got annoyed when I arrived and had to turn it off. This is a cut above the rest in this genre and keeps you guessing until the end!

Ben Aaronovitch has stormed the best-seller list with his superb London crime series. A unique blend of police procedural; loving detail about the greatest character of all, London; and a dash of the supernatural. A mutilated body in Crawley. Another killer on the loose. The prime suspect is one Robert Weil: An associate of the twisted magician known as the Faceless Man? Or just a common or garden serial killer? Before PC Peter Grant can get his head round the case a town planner going under a tube train and a stolen grimoire are adding to his caseload. So far so London. But then Peter gets word of something very odd happening in Elephant and Castle....

What did you like most about Broken Homes?

    Kobna Holdbrook-Smith's narration is excellent

What did you like best about this story?

Though I mean this in the most positive way, this audiobook is lightweight and fun.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Not so much 'scene' as I don't want to give much away, but I LOVE that it's set in London, and that it's easy for me to identify with so many of the descriptions.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It's nor really an emotional book, as always there are some ok jokes, however I did find this one dragged a bit in the middle.

    Any additional comments?

Start at the beginning with the set and work your way through, these are great fun, though I'd love to find out more of the WW antics of Nightingale.....

I'd seen the film of Everything is Illuminated, so wanted to give this a listen. Because there are a few different narratives in it, and they are played out by different actors I did wonder if there was a mistake and chapter two was from a different book, however I was wrong and the alternate chapter narrations worked amazingly well.

There are loads of upsides to this story, particularly the interwoven sub plots, the only negative thing is the narrative from Oskar is definitely not from the mind of a nine year old boy, but once I'd got over that that it sounded like the mind of an odd thirty year old I loved it.

Great Audiobook, and perfectly narrated, to it's credit it is well worth a credit.

This wickedly candid memoir that Ava Gardner dared not publish during her lifetime offers a revealing self-portrait of the film legend's life and loves in Hollywood's golden age. Ava Gardner was one of Hollywood's great stars during the 1940s and '50s, an Oscar-nominated leading lady who co-starred with Clark Gable, Burt Lancaster, and Humphrey Bogart, among others. But this riveting account of her storied life and career had to wait for publication until after her death, so concerned was Gardner with its frankness.

A complex and really interesting woman, this is an eye opening audiobook, beautifully read by William Hope, this is as much a description of the relationship between her and the ghost writer as about Ava Gardner which is what makes it so different. Highly recommended!

This really wasn't what I expected, but I loved this Audiobook, one of my favourites so far, it's also seriously funny in places.

I can massively recommend it, however I don't want to say too much about it because I don't want to give much away. It IS SciFi, but not in a Star Trek sort of way.

    Get this and enjoy it.
