"My ears have never been so spoilt !!!"

After struggling with paper books whilst on the treadmill , I decided to venture into the world of audio books. I couldn't have made a better choice than "I, Partridge...". The narration by Steve Coogan whilst in character is brilliant. This is the funniest book I've "heard" in ages and couple of times had me flying of the treadmill in giggles. This audio book is a must but be warned, it can lead to serious injuries whilst listened to on gym equipment. But if you are that unfortunate and end up in hospital, then what better audio book to read than "I, Partridge..." to make your stay an enjoyable one.

I was excited for this book once I heard it was being written, and once I found out Steve Coogan was narrating the audio version in character I decided it was time to try audible for the first time. I wasn't disappointed, the writing is equal if not superior to the TV show but feels much less dated, no annoying canned laughter and a more modern writing style. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the show, or enjoys cringe comedy.

    "Aha..."

I am a big fan of Alan and Steve Coogan generally. I bought the book and thought it amusing. I saw Mr Coogan reading an excerpt on YouTube and it made my laugh hard which led me to the Audio book. The fact it is the mighty SC reading the book brings it to life. A top audio book.

    "Alan makes me laugh twice"

I read this book after getting it for my birthday, and I found it funny. But when I heard it on audiobook it really came to life. To hear Steve Coogan, with impeccable comic timing, deliver the Alan Partridge moment made the whole thing that much funnier. There were plenty of awkward moments, and a barrel full of belly laughs. A must listen for Alan fans or merely fans of comedy.

    "Great fun"

This is an excellent biography of Alan.

There's an awful lot in here that simply must be missing from the books themselves because Alan Partridge does the reading and he does it to perfection! I can't imagine anyone else having the nuances and style which are so HIS, even myself.

A funny book but outstanding narration - well worth it!

    "Genius!"

This was well written and truly Alan Partridge. This audio book actually is better than reading the physical book, due to 'Alan' reading it in his own 'special' way!

Very funny, both the first, second and third listen!

    "Very very funny"

I have always enjoyed Alan Partridge, though have never considered myself a "fan", so it was with trepidation that I downloaded this book on the recommendation of a friend. I needn't have worried. The book was a masterpiece. Sure there are probably references you won't get if you haven't seen the series, but in general you'll be sure to find Alan's unique way with words riveting and hilarious.

    Well worth getting!

    "Alan, Alan, Alan ..."

I Partridge: We need to Talk about Alan, is a true return to form for Steve Coogan. I took quite some time to like and warm to the character of Alan Partridge. I only truely got into Alan Partrige during Season One of his television show. I personally think that it was the best of the series and I believe that if you loved, or even just liked Season One; you will at least like Alan's foray into the written word. I cannot recommend this audiobook highly enough.

"The fascinating mind of Alan Partridge!"

The audiobook is absolutely hilarious! I wont admit to this often but I would rather listen to this as opposed to reading the same book, Partridges Norfolk and thesaurus mind make for an unforgettable audio experience!

    "Complete evil Genius... Amazing."

This is an incredible AudioBook, i decided to hate Coogan after seeing him appoint himself on some government lobbying press advisory board, which actually proved that he is more than just part Partridge.

This Audiobook however actually elevates to genius level, it's so much better than his TV shows, which (though great) need to aim for a quick laugh, this builds and builds. He literally becomes Alan Partridge, brand Partridge, regal, misjudged, and you can't help but bask in his glory.

    BUY IT!
