I got this on the strength of the existing reviews and was really glad I had. I found the initial chapter a bit confusing but once I picked up the storyline I couldn?t stop listening! I am now on the second book of the trilogy and really enjoying it!

I like all of the Septimus Heap books although I am not this particular narrator's No.1 fan I think I was a bit unfair to him in my review of Eragon as I managed to listen to all the Septimus Heap books. It's not a masterpiece but it's entertaining, enjoyable and humorous would be wonderful for kids on a long car journey.

The French and Indian War: 1660-1763 covers much more than the few years during which the English and French fought over the division of the North American continent in one of the most neglected periods of American history. In this volume in the Drama of American History series, authors Christopher Collier and James Lincoln Collier trace how England's other rivals for control of America were eliminated over this period until the only source of conflict left would be between the British and their own colonists.
