OKReally good book - have listened to it at least 5 times and it still keeps me interested. Have also listened to his other 2 books on here, both just as good - wish there was more! You really learn about China and it's people, from history to day to day living of ordinary people - would definately recommend it to all
Didn't know what to expect from Dom, never watched his tv shows as they don't appeal to me but this book is very, very good. It's a very honest, imformative yet entertaining read - he comes accross as a very likeable chap - intelligent and witty without the sillyness of his tv show. That's not to say it doesn't have its funny moments - it does, the bit where he is trapped in a lift had me in stiches! I am happy to recommend this book to anyone - take a chance on him - it's really good, hope he does another!
This book has it all as far as I am concerned! It is interesting, informative, funny and thoughtful - what more could you ask for! It's about the authors travels through modern China and his observations of everyday life for the average Chinese person, from what they eat, work, history, etc - it's not as boring as I have made it sound! I would highly recommend it - I only wish Audible had more of his books on here - I would get them in a flash! Please read it - you will love it - honest!
