The Penguin Remixed competition invited musicians and DJs to sample, mix, and mash excerpts of some of the best audiobooks around. Launched in May 2005, the contest attracted hundreds of entries and the public voted in the thousands for the tracks they wanted to see on the Penguin Remixed album.

- Dream Life - The Exorcist (featuring Alex Garland's The Coma)
- Huh Huh Huh Huh - The Count of Monte Disco (featuring Kahlil Gilbran's The Prophet)
- Casino a Go Go - Master Cylinder (featuring Ian Fleming's Casino Royale)
